Bluehost review for US websites
High brand recognition — easier onboarding for beginners

Bluehost remains the hosting brand US beginners recognize. That recognition helps conversions if you are recommending hosting to non-technical clients: people have heard the name, and the WordPress installer is straightforward.
It is not the fastest shared host we tested, and it is not the cheapest after year one. Treat the advertised price as a first-term rate, not a permanent one. For a first US blog or local service site it is still a reasonable on-ramp.
Move to InMotion, DreamHost or Cloudways when you outgrow noisy-neighbor shared hosting or when renewal quotes jump.
Pros
- Extremely easy WordPress install for US beginners
- Free domain in the first year on many deals
- Wide how-to coverage across the US web
Cons
- Renewal pricing is often much higher than the ad
- Shared performance is average, not class-leading
